Before selling phones and services business unit to Microsoft, Nokia is reportedly working on Android based phones. This is another plan in case your Windows Phone handset from Nokia is not successful.
Well, a few days ago, a Chinese site CTechnology reveal more detailed information about the Android phones made by Nokia.
According to the site, the phone with the code name "Mountain View" is using the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 200 series 8225Q. This type of processor used by Android phones to lower middle class.
The Android phones are still tested by a team of research and development of Nokia in Beijing, China.
A source told CTechnology that Nokia entrust manufacturing company Foxconn, which is known as the iPhone and iPad manufacturer. Before the announcement of the acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft, Foxconn was already assembling 10,000 units of the prototype (prototype) Nokia mobile Mountain View.
Interestingly, Nokia team is still continuing to develop mobile Mountain View and have not been canceled. Foxconn also said still continues to produce prototypes of this phone.
Approved or not Nokia phones based on Android will be determined in a general meeting of shareholders of Nokia in November 2013.
Microsoft certainly had a major influence on the decision because the company has purchased the business units and service Nokia cell phone valued at 7.2 billion U.S. dollars in early September.
