In the midst of a civil war that has raged more than two and a half years, the Syrian rebels do not miss utilize mobile gadgets in combat.
This is shown by sebingkai photo catches Reuters photojournalist Mohamed Abdullah. In the photo, members of the brigade "Ansar Dimachk" in Damascus seemed to look at the iPad is placed right next to a mortar shell.
As reported by the New York Post, The rebels allegedly used the iPad to guide hurling mortars at enemy positions by utilizing the accelerometer features of the device.
"They've started doing that lately. Few also use smartphones, so it's quite common," said Eliot Higgins weapons analyst, as quoted by the Huffington Post.
Although it may sound surprising for most users, Apple actually had anticipated the possibility of war used homemade gadgets.
In iTunes licensing requirements, the company wrote, "You agree not to use this product for any activity that is prohibited U.S. government, including, but not limited to, the development, design, or production of nuclear, missile, or chemical and biological weapons. "
