Dwyane Wade's Ex Withdraws $1M Lawsuit

Clearly there’s some bad blood between Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife, Siovaughn Funches-Wade, as she hadfiled a lawsuit for a million dollars but has no “voluntarily dismissed” the case.

The lawsuit had claimed that the two signed a contract back in 2006 that certain endorsement money would be placed in a joint account where Funches-Wade could access it, but that Dwyane had voluntarily been withholding funds from the account.

Now she has withdrawn the case, which apparently had already gone to court and was dismissed, but was filed again when Wade’s ex had filed an appeal. As per the Sun Times:

On Thursday, Funches-Wade “voluntarily dismissed” the suit, according to court documents.
The agreement had previously been thrown out in domestic court during the couple’s bitter custody battle, but was restored after Funches-Wade appealed the decision, the suit claimed. The agreement required Wade to pay half of the income from his 2006 NBA contract and all endorsement money into the account.
The suit claimed Funches-Wade has been unable to pay her mortgage, or home and auto insurance because of funds withheld from Wade’s endorsement deals with T-Mobile, Staples, Gatorade and Li Ning, a Chinese sporting goods company.
